ARRIVAL
When you arrive at the entrance of the ranch, you will find a large eight foot high steel gate with a sign: “Estancia de Lifto”. You enter the ranch using the temporary gate code we provide you in advance of your visit. Please enter and drive south into the ranch on our paved driveway three quarters of a mile south of the entrance to the cabin. You will likely pass several free roaming cattle, calves, and horses. The cabin is located a quarter of a mile south of the main home. The cabin is isolated out of sight from the ranch house and surrounded by trees and nature.
You will be offer tours. The tour includes the history of the ranch, taking you over several trails, introduction to the horses and feeding them cubes, passing close to the cattle, introduction to the solar production, wild hog operation, and more.
MODERN TWO BEDROOM CABIN
Our cedar two bedroom, two bath modern secluded cabin with central air, central heat, and all of the needed modern conveniences will be waiting for you with a highly rated bottle of red wine. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen sized beds. In the living room is a pull out coach that can sleep two. On the large front screened in porch, is a fold out bed that can sleep one person. The front porch overlooks trees, the fire pit, and includes rockers, cushioned chairs and games. Located in the living room is an electric fire place often used by guests in the winter months.
Included in the cabin is a washer, drier—with Tide pods included, dishwasher, shower, two person hot tub, pots, pans, glasses, silverware, towels, cleaning soaps, hair drier, couch, dinner table with chairs, linens, spices, and two means for brewing coffee. Either use our Kuerig coffee machine with pods included, or use the coffee beans waiting for your in a sealed contained then grind in the electric coffee grinder included, and brew fresh brewed coffee in the morning. Coffee creamer and sweeteners included. We charge an additional cleaning fee as do most rental properties. We wash all of the towels, sheets, blankets, pillow cases, etc. Because we are in the country, we ask you to keep the doors to the cabin closed so outside insects, animals, etc. cannot enter. We have a local raccoon named Mapache who occasionally visits the cabin. The cabin is sprayed on a regular basis for insects.
The cabin has two flat screen televisions and DVD player with over 50 DVD’s provided. We use Dish network in the cabin. One TV is located in the master bedroom, and the other in the main room. The DVD player is built into the TV in the living room.
A first aide kit is located in cabin master bathroom for minor injuries. It also has a listing of emergency telephone numbers should you need professional care.

If you are sick with COVID-19 or suspect you are infected with the virus that causes COVID-19, you should take steps to help prevent the disease from spreading to people in your home, and community.
If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop a fever and symptoms, such as cough or difficulty breathing, call your healthcare provider for medical advice. Please wait before reserving our cabin until you are fully recovered and not a carrier. If you are sick or a carrier after your reserve, let us know so we can move your reservation to a later date until you know you have fully recovered and are not a carrier
BRING YOUR DOG
There is a large fenced back yard attached to the cabin. Additionally, if your dog is house trained, you can keep them inside. We only ask that you do not allow the dogs (or cat) on the furniture, beds, nor use the blankets and towels on your pet. Please pick up after your dog. We have a policy to discard any blankets or towels used on pets rather than trying to clean them. A $19 fee is charged for dogs or cats account the cost to us for additional cleaning.
OUTDOORS
Outside of the cabin is a large fire pit with free firewood, tree swing, horse shoe pits and horse shoes, a picnic table located on a cement slab with a gas propane grill and charcoal grill for your use. There are chairs around the fire pit and a two person swing made by local trees. We provide four long metal sticks with wooden handles to use for marshmallows or hot dogs. Two bikes are provided and kept in front of the cabin. We ask you use them on the paved road or solid trails to protect the tires. Please do not ride them off road—especially over cactus.
Enjoy 124 acres of nature, ranch life, cows, deer, plant life, fruit trees, flowers, deer, rabbits and other wild life. Stroll and pick wild tuna from the prickly pear which can be prepared into a large variety of foods and drinks.
The ranch is about 4 miles from beautiful Lake Bridgeport, with close landings, beach and fishing. The ranch has about three + miles of trails, grazing cattle and horses, wild animals including deer, wild hogs, turkey, coyotes, raccoons, fox, rabbits, armadilos, possems, and more. We have counted over 80 species of birds, including beautiful colored buntings that migrate from Mexico.
Come meet our horses: Campion, Ferrari, Beauty, Desire and Valentina. About 20 new baby cattle born in 2019.
ATV’S and RTV's for OFF Road
ATV's and RTV's are available for rent. We have one RTV that seats four people, another seats two people, and the ATV’s are four wheeled vehicles all automatic. Please check for updated prices. Current ATV price per day is $95 plus $8 for gas. The 7 seater is $165 plus $12 gas, and the two person side by side is $115 plus the cost of gas.
There are a dozen fruit trees planted behind the cabin along with dozens of blackberry bushes. Over 50 pecan trees are on the ranch. Most of the nuts are left for wild life to keep the wild life population healthy and thriving.
You can bring your own ATV for use on the ranch, or to take to the off road park located two miles from the ranch and run by the City of Bridgeport. Use of your own ATV or ours is at your own risk and we assume no liability for personal injury.
POND RESTOCK DECEMBER 27TH WITH LARGE MOUTH BASS AND MORE in
Bring your fishing poles. We recommend live worms, chicken livers, grass hopers and/or a trebble hooks with chilled hot dogs for catfish. Close to the cabin on the ranch is a well stocked fishing pond. We restock the pond twice a year with bass, blue gill, perch, sunfish and catfish. The large fishing pond that includes a large fountain for aeration. There is a dock where you can launch our canoe included for your use. Along the pond is a gazebo with electricity, lights, picnic table and rocking chairs. Limit fish to keep 2 at 2 lbs or greater. If you stay more than 3 days, you can keep 4.
SHOOTING RANGE FOR GUNS AND BOW & ARROWS
It is a unique feature built into a depression for safety and multiple barriers to protect from stray bullets. The range includes a sighting table with a container beneath used for spent cartridges. We include two bow and arrow square bale targets, metal ping targets, a back board to staple targets for guns, and you can use shot guns while on the range. We no longer provide a skeet thrower account it repeated broke or was damaged.
The range time is limited when open for the protection of ranch workers, and anyone who might be in the area where shooting might occur. If you wish to use the range, you will be asked to have each person using the range to sign the attached safety and indemnification/liability agreement. You are welcome to use the range between 10 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. If you wish to use the range after or before hours, please discuss with the owner so that we can protect anyone who might be in the area.
If you use the gun range, please pick up your spent rounds and put them in the plastic container under the table.
RESTUARANTS
Bridgeport has over 20 restaurants, a large recreational lake and multiple other attractions for people who visit. For more information about the Bridgeport area, you can visit www.destinationbridgeport.com.
We recommend some particular restaurants: Pronto's, The Brewery open for lunch (M-F), Dos Chiles Grandes, and Stevens Restaurant. If you enjoy Italian food, we especially recommend Pronto's, located off of 380 or 3.5 miles east of the ranch just as you are departing the west end of Bridgeport. They do not serve alcohol, but you can take your own bottle of wine and they do not charge a corkage fee. Also, they provide glasses and a wine bottle opener. Dos Chiles Grandes, 105 Lake Rd, Bridgeport, TX 76426 provides good food and a nice atmosphere.
SWIMMING AND LAKE USE
Located about three miles west of the ranch of highway 380 is Lake Bridgeport. The main part of the lake is about five miles across. They have a beach and public landing nearby. There is a store name One Spot that has fishing equipment, worms, minnows, restaurant, gas and more. If you bring your own boat, you can drive across the main body, plus miles of inlets with swimming areas and great fishing. There is a store and boat gas station located on the northwest side of the lake. They also have boat rental.

POOL: There is a pool with heated hot tub and water slide next to our house 1/4 mile from the cabin. It has a grill, bathroom, 8' stucco wall (see picture on web site). The house cannot be seen from the cabin. This is available for up to 3 hours for $40. It is up to 8' deep (May - Sept).
